About Me

I’m a biglaw attorney with nearly a decade at the same large firm. I started this site in 2018. I graduated from law school right in the middle of my class — not the person recruiters were chasing — and I wanted to document what I learned about surviving and eventually thriving inside a large firm.

The posts here come directly from a physical mistake pile I’ve kept next to my desk since my third week at the firm. Every error, every lesson, every note to myself. The goal is simple: share what actually works for people who didn’t coast in on law review.

I also wrote Biglaw Interview Advice: A Complete Guide to Interviews, available on Amazon. It’s a complete walkthrough of the biglaw interview process — OCI, callbacks, summer associate evaluations, and lateral interviews.

After nearly a decade of doing this, I now offer one-on-one coaching for law students preparing for OCI, summer associates aiming for the return offer, junior associates getting their footing, and mid-level and senior associates planning lateral moves. If you want a real conversation with someone who has been in the building for a long time, the first 15 minutes are free.

This is not legal advice. It’s career advice from someone who has been doing this long enough to have strong opinions about attachment version control.
